Job summary

S+B James Construction seeks an MEP Engineer to support mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems throughout the construction process. You will provide hands-on field support to ensure MEP work aligns with project documents, codes, and quality standards.

You will collaborate with MEP trade partners, project management, field supervision, design teams, and the MEP manager to resolve field issues, track progress, and maintain accurate records, with growth toward an MEP

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Procore and scheduling software.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and codes.
• Solid knowledge of construction principles and practices.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• BIM participation and oversight in preconstruction.
• Manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and document control.
• Coordinate with trade partners, PM team, BIM/VDC, QC & safety teams.
• Support coordination and installation of MEP systems on site.
• Develop understanding of MEP construction for advancement to coordinator.
