Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an MEP Senior Field Coordinator to join our MEP Building Technology team on projects in Richmond, VA and surrounding areas including Culpeper, Ashburn, Herndon and Manassas. This is a full-time, in-person role.

You will oversee coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and special systems, mentor trade partners, help develop schedules, QA/QC programs and support commissioning from pre-construction through close-out.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated MEP systems.
• Proven ability to manage workforce requirements, monitor project progress, and resolve field engineering challenges.
• Experience managing construction of complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, airports, or other special-use facilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client and trade partner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems coordination and installation for complex projects.
• Provide leadership and oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in developing and tracking schedules, monitoring QA/QC programs, and supporting the Energy Control and Safety Program.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot field engineering issues, and oversee start-up and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with project teams from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and design partners while supervising trade partners and vendors.
