Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an MEP Field Coordinator to join our Building Technology team on projects across Virginia, including Herndon, Culpeper and Richmond. This full-time, in-person role requires coordinating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems from pre-construction through commissioning.

You will lead field teams, manage schedules, QA/QC programs, and partner with clients and design teams to deliver complex MEP infrastructure on time and to specification.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of commercial construction experience with large MEP systems.
• Proven ability to manage workforce requirements, monitor project progress and resolve field engineering challenges.
• Experience managing construction of complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, airports, or other special-use facilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for managing client and trade partner relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems coordination and installation for complex projects.
• Provide leadership and oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in developing and tracking schedules, monitoring QA/QC programs, and supporting the Energy Control and Safety Program.
• Manage punch lists, troubleshoot field engineering issues, and oversee start-up and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with project teams from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and design partners while supervising trade partners and vendors.
