Job summary

Curaleaf is seeking a Principal MEP and Facilities Engineer to lead design, construction, commissioning, and optimization of facilities across its global portfolio. The role focuses on HVAC, MEP systems, BAS, environmental controls, and utility infrastructure to support regulated cultivation and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in regulated facilities (industrial, manufacturing, cannabis, pharma, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, MEP, environmental controls, and facility utilities.
• Experience managing facility design, construction, renovation, or capital projects.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of BAS and facility controls.
• OSHA regulations and facility safety standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility design, construction, commissioning, and infrastructure improvement projects across cultivation, manufacturing, laboratory, and distribution sites.
• Provide technical expertise for HVAC, MEP systems, environmental controls, facility utilities, and BAS.
• Support design and optimization of controlled environment cultivation facilities (temp, humidity, airflow, ventilation, CO2).
• Coordinate and manage engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teams.
• Conduct facility assessments and technical due diligence for acquisitions, expansions, and capital projects.
• Review facility infrastructure, utility capacity, and engineering designs to support objectives.
• Partner with operations, quality, compliance, and facilities teams to troubleshoot issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support facility readiness for GACP, GMP, and EU-GMP environments.
• Promote OSHA compliance and safe facility design and operation standards.
