Job summary

Amazon's Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) seeks an Engineering Program Manager to lead the development and standardization of MEP systems across labs and specialty facilities worldwide.

The role emphasizes building codes, fire protection, safety, and sustainability, with global scope and travel up to 10%. You will partner with Design, Construction, EHS, Sustainability, and regional teams to drive data-driven decisions and capital planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience.
• Experience implementing process improvements and data-driven decisions.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• 6+ years of experience with building codes and industry standards; knowledge of fire protection for specialty labs.
• 10+ years of experience in building systems engineering for technically complex facilities.
• Experience with hazardous materials handling and safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global MEP design standards for labs, innovation spaces, and specialty facilities.
• Develop SOPs and technical training programs for specialty spaces.
• Establish monitoring, metering, and equipment tracking strategies integrated with CMMS/EAM and FDD.
• Lead fire protection design for robotics labs, battery testing environments, and hazardous materials storage.
• Provide technical leadership on equipment lifecycle management and system modernization.
• Collaborate with sustainability teams on energy efficiency and decarbonization.
• Define KPIs and portfolio-wide performance dashboards for leadership review.
• Partner with procurement on equipment standards and vendor qualification.
