Job summary

Accenture is seeking a seasoned Estimator to lead cost estimating for building projects on client sites in California. You will work with PMO and Chief Estimator to plan, prepare, and defend cost estimates across design phases and bid reviews.

The role requires a BS/BA in an engineering-related field and 10 years of experience in complete cost estimates, with supervisory exposure. Onsite work with clients is included.

Qualifications

• 10 years minimum recent professional experience in the preparation of complete cost estimates for type I, II, or III, and V building construction per code.
• Two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience evaluating pricing, bids, change orders and cost proposals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in preparing construction cost estimates from drawings, outlines and specifications.
• Prepare estimates per design based on scope and building type.
• Evaluate consultants' cost estimates for accuracy and completeness and support cost containment.
• Assess bids from Contractors for extra work; prepare fair cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits to gather data for estimates and develop price recommendations.
• Analyze data on materials, labor, equipment, and profit to inform proposals.
