Qualifications

10 years minimum recent professional experience in complete cost estimates for building construction including MEP.
BS/BA in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
Expert in cost estimating theories, practices, and contract pricing.
Experience with Design Build, Design Bid Build, and Job Order Contracting.

Responsibilities

Senior estimator for MEP trades reporting to PMO Program Controls Manager and Lead Estimator.
Plan and prepare construction cost estimates from drawings, outlines, and specs.
Prepare estimates per design based on scope and building type.
Evaluate cost-estimating deliverables for containment, accuracy, and completeness.
Prepare fair estimates for contractor proposals for extra work.
Perform site visits and material takeoffs for MEP systems.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to identify value engineering opportunities.
