Job summary

Marx Okubo is seeking a Senior Associate Licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our Denver or Southern California team. You will lead MEP design efforts, perform evaluations, and mentor staff on complex projects.

This hybrid role requires 2 days in the office weekly, site visits, and travel. We value innovation, collaboration, and hands-on problem solving across commercial building types.

Qualifications

• B.S.M.E. or B.S.A.E. with mechanical specialty; PE is a plus.
• 10+ years in design and evaluation of large-scale MEP systems.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection expertise.
• Knowledge of national/state codes; energy audits and commissioning.
• LEED or CEM certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management successes.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Box.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property condition assessments (PCAs).
• Estimate costs to repair or replace systems.
• Peer review building designs.
• Perform energy audits, commissioning, and construction management.
• Interact with site personnel and clients with clear communication.
• Travel to project sites is required.
