Job summary

Marx Okubo, a national architecture/engineering/construction consulting firm, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer - MEP Consulting in Denver or SoCal. The role offers a starting salary range of $135,000–$155,000 with discretionary bonuses and a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities include leading design and evaluation of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, energy audits, and project management across diverse building types. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• BSME or BSAE with mechanical specialty and PE preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale MEP systems.
• Knowledge of codes, energy audits, commissioning, and sustainability.
• LEED or CEM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evaluation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Perform energy audits, system commissioning, and project management.
• Conduct property condition assessments and cost estimates.
• Peer review building designs and communicate with clients.
• Travel to project sites as required.
