Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer in Morristown, NJ for a hybrid, permanent role. You will design mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for mid- and high-rise projects, coordinating across disciplines and mentoring junior staff.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required, with a strong focus on code-compliant, constructible designs. You will collaborate with architects and civil engineers, conduct load calculations, and help develop construction documents.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience designing MEP systems for buildings.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
• Strong understanding of HVAC load calculations and thermodynamics.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and drafters.

Responsibilities

• Design MEP systems for multi-family and mixed-use buildings in accordance with codes.
• Read and interpret drawings, codes, and reports with accuracy.
• Develop construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters, delegating tasks and ensuring quality.
• Coordinate with vendors and project teams to define design requirements.
• Participate in site visits to monitor construction progress and conformance.
