Tan Engineering, PC is seeking a highly skilled MEP Engineer in New York to join our team. You will design and optimize mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial and residential buildings, collaborating with architects and contractors to deliver cost-effective, compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP design, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a solid understanding of local building codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or related field.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Familiar with building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and review HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, and sprinkler systems using AutoCAD.
• Perform calculations and estimate sizes for various projects.
• Create plans, load calculations, and system narratives and specs.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and consultants on design issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes and client specs.
• Review material selections and provide technical information to project managers.
• Analyze design data to evaluate feasibility, cost and maintenance needs.
