Job summary

AMPAM Parks Mechanical, Inc. in the Greater Los Angeles area seeks a Design Engineer I–III to lead MEP design for multi-family projects.

You will develop HVAC, plumbing, and electrical designs from concept through construction, and create AutoCAD and Rev it models with detailed calculations. The role offers onsite, hybrid, or remote options for qualified candidates within the Greater Los Angeles/Orange County/Inland Empire region, with residency near Carson, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program.
• Design Engineer I: 0–3 years of MEP design experience; II: ~3+ years; III: ~6+ years.
• EIT preferred for I/II; PE or licensure progress preferred for III.
• 3–6 years of MEP design experience for multi-family or mixed-use projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with Navisworks/Bluebeam/BIM 360 preferred.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing and electrical system design.

Responsibilities

• Develop plumbing, HVAC, and electrical designs from concept through construction documents for multi-family residential buildings.
• Perform engineering calculations including loads, ventilation, equipment sizing, and load analysis.
• Prepare and review drawings, schedules, and specs using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other disciplines.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and perform field observations as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to design standards and templates.
