Job summary

AMPAM Parks Mechanical, Inc. in Carson, CA is seeking a Design Technician II to produce detailed MEP construction documents for multi-family new construction, supporting engineers and project managers from schematic design through construction administration.

You will draft with AutoCAD and Revit, create coordinated layouts for plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems, perform load calculations, and help drive design options to meet budgets and codes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in MEP design.
• Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering Technology or willingness to obtain.
• Autodesk Certifications (CAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Bluebeam) preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems design fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify detailed MEP construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other design software.
• Create coordinated layouts for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems within multi-family residential buildings.
• Prepare riser diagrams, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and equipment schedules.
• Assist in developing design options and value-engineering alternatives to meet project budgets and performance goals.
