Johnson Service Group seeks a Senior MEP Coordinator for a direct hire in the Palo Alto area. The role supports a new replacement hospital and central plant within the PMO, coordinating with design consultants and key subs on large, high-profile projects.

The Senior MEP Coordinator will lead 3D CAD coordination, procurement tracking, and commissioning efforts, leveraging Procore, Revizto, vPlanner and Primavera, with strong communication and leadership required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or technical training required.
• 10+ years field experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, interprets and evaluates scope of work in project documents.
• Evaluates schedule to determine procurement/installation timing.
• Provides weekly procurement information to scheduler.
• Creates materials and procurement logs; maintains weekly updates.
• Facilitates 3D CAD coordination meetings; ensures timely information flow.
• Enters RFIs into ProCore and tracks progress.
• Prepares submittal packages for Architect/Engineer; prepares transmittals via ProCore.
• Evaluates changes and COs for Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Suppression work.
• Verifies change orders for accuracy and consistency with codes and standards.
• Maintains knowledge of Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Suppression codes and Life Safety.

JSG is a seeking a Senior MEP Coordinator for a direct hire position for our client in the Palo Alto area. Our client is an established construction firm with decades of experience building high profile projects. They’re seeking a Sr. level individual to join their PMO office where you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile, projects that impact your community.

Description: The Senior MEP Coordinator is responsible for the coordination on the assigned project. This position reports to the Director of Mechanical and Electrical Services, or other assigned supervisor. Sr. MEP Coordinators work with the design consultants and key sub-contractors to select the best equipment for the project, build it virtually and then in reality in the field followed by a robust commissioning effort. Familiar with software tools such as Revizto, vPlanner, Procore and Primavera to manage work. We are looking to build a new replacement hospital and central plant. Responsibilities

• Reviews, interprets and accurately evaluates scope of work in the project documents
• Evaluates schedule and plans to determine when materials are to be procured and installed
• Provides updated procurement information on a weekly basis to scheduler assigned to the project
• Creates spreadsheets for material, install and installation procurement log and maintain on a weekly basis
• Facilitates 3D cad coordination meetings and ensures information is processed in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet schedule
• Enters RFls into ProCore and track progress
• Prepares submittal package for submission to architect/engineer
• Prepares transmittals through ProCore
• Evaluates changes and subcontractor change order estimates relating to Mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression subcontractor work
• Verifies change order requests from subcontractors for accuracy and consistency
• Obtains or maintains a working knowledge of the Mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression Codes, Life Safety Codes and local requirements
• Conducts daily job walks to insure the accuracy and quality of the Mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression system installation
• Follow and enforce the company QA/QC program for Mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression systems
• Demonstrates technical knowledge of the construction industry and the ability to use cost-estimating methods
• Applies knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in construction field
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Works under general supervision
• Develops and nurtures subcontractor/vendor relationship

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, (Electrical, Construction Management) or technical training is required. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree Demonstrates good written and oral communications and team skills
• Minimum Ten (10) years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred Receives work direction and works independently with an interest in quickly learning and applying new skills and abilities
• Must be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough
• Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
• Intermediate skill level with MS Excel 2000
• Intermediate skill level with MS Word 2000
• Intermediate skill with Procore
• Intermediate skill knowledge of MS Outlook

Salary Range: $150k - $200k plus 5% target bonus, vehicle & fuel card #D800 #LI-LN1
