Job summary

SOCOTEC Global is seeking an engineering or construction professional for our Building Commissioning team in New York City. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in construction, inspection, or design of MEP systems and can manage multiple projects while improving the built environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with teams and clients, executing Cx/RCx/M&V, preparing field and CFR/O&M documents, and reviewing design docs for energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or foreign equivalent, plus 5 years of experience.
• Experience in commissioning or related building envelope, energy and MEP projects preferred.
• Familiarity with NYC Building Codes and Energy Code is advantageous.
• Experience with field data collection and reporting for energy efficiency projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, schedules and deliverables with junior staff support.
• Coordinate with design, construction teams, clients, and internal staff.
• Execute Cx, RCx, M&V, and inspection services for MEP systems.
• Prepare Cx documents such as PFCs, FPTs, CFR+OM, O&M manuals, and CFR reports.
• Review design documents to preserve energy efficiency and proper operation.
• Conduct periodic site visits and oversee equipment start-up and testing.
