Michaud Cooley Erickson is seeking a Commissioning (Cx) Project Specialist to develop and execute commissioning plans that verify the operation of building systems in line with designs, specifications, and owners’ requirements. The role includes QA/QC of drawings, field surveys, and report writing for various system types.

The candidate will lead testing, troubleshooting, and documentation efforts, collaborating with the project team while traveling as needed to support projects.

Formación

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with related experience and/or training.
• 5+ years of related building systems industry experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong communications skills required; speak effectively before groups of customers, contractors, or employees of organization.
• Detailed analytical skills to review building automation graphics, troubleshooting equipment issues, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team yet function independently with minimal management.
• Must have a collaborative approach to resolving issues.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, electrical, fire protection, plumbing systems (MEFP) design construction codes, and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Ability to pass company and client background checks

Responsabilidades

• Develops the Cx plan for routine projects, including identifying team roles and responsibilities, defining commissioning scope, setting the schedule, preparing checklists, and creating testing scripts.
• Organizes and leads Cx plan review meetings to ensure an efficient Cx process.
• Carries out the Cx plan and testing to verify MEP systems meet project requirements.
• Creates the Cx action log and communicates open items with the project team.
• Prepares the Cx report documenting the Cx process.
• Performs troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify root causes of malfunctions.
• Adds value to contractor-led training sessions with insights and clarifications during sessions.
• Travels locally and out of town as required by the project.
