Job summary

SOCOTEC seeks an experienced engineering/building professional to join our NYC team of commissioning engineers. You will manage multiple projects from inception through close-out, perform Cx, RCx, and M&V services, review OPR/BOD, and ensure energy-efficient operation of MEP systems.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years in construction/design, strong documentation skills, and familiarity with NYC codes and ASHRAE standards.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years in building industry or environmental sciences.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and guidelines.
• Experience with commissioning processes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute Commissioning (Cx), Retro-Commissioning (RCx), M&V and inspection services.
• Review and assist in development of Cx documents (OPR, BOD).
• Review MEP drawings to preserve energy efficiency and good operation.
• Prepare Cx documents (PFCs, FPTs) for field use.
• Conduct field visits to observe installation progress and quality.
• Witness and direct FPTs of HVAC equipment on site.
• Collect data for energy conservation analysis and reports.
• Manage projects from inception through close-out.
