Job summary

Staxmatic, LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager (MEP) to lead large-scale mechanical and plumbing projects from pre-construction to closeout. You will own budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and field teams across Texas while ensuring safety, quality, and contractual compliance.

The role requires 5+ years managing commercial MEP projects, strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, and the ability to read drawings and manage RFIs/submittals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience in commercial Mechanical and/or Plumbing (MEP) construction.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, piping, ductwork, and commercial construction sequencing.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Hands-on experience managing project budgets, job cost tracking, forecasting, and change orders.
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contract documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background check requirements.
• Travel to job sites across Texas as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial MEP construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Maintain responsibility for mechanical and plumbing scope (HVAC, piping, ductwork).
• Develop and control project budgets, track costs, forecast, and manage change orders.
• Create and update schedules with field leadership and superintendents.
• Lead subcontractor buyout, scope review, and contract execution in pre-construction.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contract documents to keep projects moving.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual compliance.
• Communicate with owners, GCs, design teams, and stakeholders; participate in project reviews.
