Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Healthcare of Forrest City is seeking a full-time Lead Mental Health Technician to improve patient lives through a patient-centered, collaborative approach.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, training staff, supervising observations, and ensuring a safe environment. Qualifications require 3+ years in a psychiatric hospital setting, plus BLS and Handle with Care training within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent; preferred psychology, human services, nursing, or social work background.
• Experience: minimum 3 years in hospital with psychiatric experience; BLS and Handle with Care training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them throughout the shift.
• Conduct Handle with Care, BLS and MHT Academy trainings.
• Precept/train new and existing MHTs.
• Observe and document patient behavior during shifts.
• Model and teach life skills to patients.
