Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Memory Design Group CAD Engineer to join a global team and advance the design verification flow for CMOS IC layout and design.

You will improve productivity by integrating commercial EDA tools, developing flows, and supporting design, layout, and verification teams. The role emphasizes collaboration across design groups, development of new CAD methods, and ongoing evaluation of tools to increase efficiency and reduce cost.

Qualifications

• Strong programming fundamentals with Unix and shell scripting.
• Deep knowledge of CMOS circuits, deep-submicron design, CMOS manufacturing and layout rules.
• Experience with layout flows such as Calibre DRC/LVS, floorplanning, automated P&R, and SPF extraction.
• Experience with design simulation tools and languages including Verilog, Verilog-A, NCVerilog, VCS, Spice/FastSpice, FineSim/PrimeSim, and HSPICE
• Experience with RTL-to-GDS flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools, flows, and methodologies to increase productivity and reliability of Memory designs
• Integrate commercial EDA tools into design flows
• Provide training, documentation, and support to end users on new tools and methods
• Undertake Independent Research and Development of Next-Generation CAD Software to meet product development needs
• Identify deficiencies of current tools and flows
• Understand EDA industry trends and opportunities for performance gains
• Evaluate tools with internal customers and define flows for improvement of efficiency and cost
• Develop, maintain and support the engineering infrastructure
