Job summary

Komline is seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer to develop and optimize process designs for membrane treatment equipment. You will create PFDs/P&IDs, size RO/NF and UF/MF systems, and support cost estimation and project scheduling.

Responsibilities include process calculations, collaboration with mechanical/electrical teams, and ensuring designs meet client specs, codes (AWWA, ASTM, ISO) and environmental regulations. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in process design for membrane treatment equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or Process Engineering.
• Strong understanding of water chemistry and membrane technologies (RO/NF, UF/MF).
• Proficiency in process simulation and design tools.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for custom membrane systems.
• Design and size RO/NF and UF/MF systems and ancillary equipment.
• Prepare detailed process calculations: flow, pressure, chemical dosing, membrane performance.
• Review technical offers and design basis documents to support estimators.
• Provide process input for cost estimation, BOM, and project scheduling.
• Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting; ensure regulatory compliance.
