Job description

Compute Data Plane is responsible for designing and developing core functions for Virtual Machine Infrastructure (VMI), Disaster Recovery Systems, OS Images, and Agents. The fundamental architectural components include:

1. VM delivery for CPU and GPU workloads
2. OS images for Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, and Windows
3. Oracle Cloud Agent for host manageability
4. Automated recovery systems for regions during outages
5. Health monitoring, triage automation, and diagnostic services

All these services are essential for our customers to run distributed application workloads across thousands of VMs, leveraging the latest virtualization technologies.

OCI is seeking a hands-on lead systems engineer within the Compute Data Plane team. The successful candidate will:

• Build automated recovery systems
• Design and develop agents
• Create an ultra-high-performance VMI platform supporting millions of VMs on thousands of Hypervisors

• US: Salary range from $79,800 to $178,100 annually, with potential bonus and equity
