Job summary
Upgrade Resources is seeking a skilled Medium Voltage Technician in Houston, TX for on-site service work focused on 5kV–25kV distribution and industrial controls. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems across diverse customer environments while representing the company on client sites.
The role requires Journeyman/Master license in Texas, strong MV experience, and ability to work 8–10 hour days with overtime, including night shifts.
Qualifications
- Experience with medium voltage installation, termination, and testing.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems across power distribution.
- Proficient in motor control and PLC troubleshooting and programming.
- Willingness to lead small crews on field projects and work a client-facing role.
Responsibilities
- Perform medium voltage installations (5kV–25kV) and HiPot testing.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems on site.
- Install and troubleshoot motor control systems and PLCs.
- Support generator and UPS installations and field commissioning.
- Lead small crews on larger service/install jobs and maintain safe work practices.
