Job summary

Neomorph, Inc. seeks a highly accomplished medicinal chemistry leader to drive Hit-to-Lead through Development Candidate nomination, mentoring program leaders and shaping portfolio decisions.

You will influence scientific direction, collaborate across disciplines, and advance Neomorph’s TPD platform and pipeline with rigorous design and data-driven decisions. You will guide teams in strategy, experiments, and data interpretation, while maintaining safety, compliance, and a strong publication/IP

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry or related field with 8+ years in industry; MS 11+ years; BS 14+ years.
• Track record leading medicinal chemistry programs through drug-discovery decisions.
• Mentor and develop scientists to achieve milestones.
• Strong command of medicinal chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, and design strategies.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead medicinal chemistry programs from Hit-to-Lead through Development Candidate nomination.
• Mentor direct-report project leaders to meet milestones.
• Influence portfolio decisions and advise other project leads.
• Develop strategies balancing potency, selectivity, ADME/DMPK, safety, and developability.
• Contribute to compound design, planning, data analysis, and synthesis.
• Collaborate with biology, pharmacology, DMPK, toxicology, and other functions on integrated plans.
• Communicate strategies, results, risks, and recommendations to teams and senior leadership.
• Manage external chemistry CROs and external partners, defining scope and evaluating deliverables.
• Contribute to IP strategy, publications, and external scientific communications.
• Maintain rigorous scientific standards and laboratory safety.
