Neomorph is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry to drive drug discovery programs from Hit-to-Lead through Development Candidate nomination. The role blends hands-on bench work with strategic leadership to advance Neomorph’s pipeline.

The successful candidate will lead strategy, mentor scientists, and collaborate across biology, pharmacology, DMPK, toxicology, analytical sciences, and CMC, while managing external CROs to ensure timely, data-driven project progression.

Qualificações

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry with 6+ years in industry.
• Experience independently leading medicinal chemistry in multidisciplinary drug discovery.
• Expertise in multiparameter optimization, ADME/DMPK, safety.

Responsabilidades

• Independently lead medicinal chemistry strategy and execution for programs from Hit-to-Lead through Development Candidate nomination.
• Develop and execute multiparameter optimization strategies addressing potency, selectivity, PK properties, safety, and developability.
• Identify key scientific questions and manage cross-functional experiments for data-driven decisions.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to a high-performing medicinal chemistry organization.
• Collaborate with biology, pharmacology, DMPK, toxicology, CMC, and external CROs to design experiments and align goals.
• Communicate strategy, findings, risks, and recommendations to teams and leadership.
• Contribute to IP strategy, patent filings, and external scientific communications.
