Job summary

Syneos Health, a leader in life sciences services, seeks a Principal Medical Writer – Publications to drive the preparation and delivery of complex medical writing projects. You will lead study-related and publication documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and regulatory alignment across teams.

You will advise clients on data presentation, coordinate quality reviews, mentor junior writers, and ensure compliance with FDA, ICH, and AMA guidelines while delivering on timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in science, technical, or medical writing.
• Extensive experience with biopharmaceutical, device, or contract research organization environments.
• Strong understanding of FDA and ICH regulations and AMA style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the completion of complex medical writing deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate writing activities across departments to align on strategy and timelines.
• Review client comments and resolve them to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Mentor and develop less experienced medical writers on complex documents.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, templates, and style guides.
• Engage with clients and study teams to meet objectives and maintain quality.
