Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or quantitative field
• 5–7 years underwriting experience for self-funded and converting to self-funding
• Experience underwriting group contracts and renewals

Responsibilities

• Renew accounts and write new business to meet targets; use systems to track work
• Calculate rates and apply pricing policies; adapt to unusual situations
• Identify questionable claim patterns and adjust pricing accordingly
• Apply corporate risk policies and adjust for unique client scenarios
• Ensure compliance with risk management policies and enrollment criteria
• Provide technical guidance to lower level analysts and support tool maintenance
