St. Elizabeth HealthCare in Kentucky seeks a skilled Lead Medical Technologist to oversee daily laboratory activities, scheduling, and instrument management. The role requires expertise in QC/QA, data flows in LIS, and troubleshooting during routine and downtime events.

You will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and support patient care through accurate testing and timely result reporting. 2+ years in a hospital lab are preferred; NAACLS MT program and certification are required.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Biological Science with NAACLS Medical Technology program and MT certification.
• 2 years of related technical experience post-graduation in a hospital lab environment.
• Must perform quality control and be familiar with QA procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Medical Technologist responsibilities and role operations in the lab.
• Document and monitor quality control, identify trends and resolve issues.
• Participate in QA activities and proficiency testing; ensure proper incident documentation.
• Oversee instrument troubleshooting, maintenance, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure timely reporting of results and handling of critical values in LIS.
