Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. in Tulsa, OK seeks a Full-Time Night Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform testing and supervisory duties as directed by the supervisor. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science and national certification as a laboratory scientist.

At least 1 year of high-complexity testing experience is preferred. Responsibilities include specimen processing, accurate result reporting, quality control, and collaboration with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Biological/Chemical Science from an accredited college/university.
• Must have passed national certification exam as a laboratory scientist accredited by an approved agency.
• 1 year related experience with high complexity testing.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives, prioritizes and processes specimens to meet turnaround time standards.
• Performs testing according to procedures and documents results with accuracy.
• Maintains quality control, instrument calibration and daily maintenance.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and uses PPE as required.
• Assists supervisor in department operations and communicates with staff and management.
