Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join the team at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. This role performs routine and complex laboratory procedures, ensures quality control, and maintains a safe work environment.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science or MLS; 1+ year of lab testing experience; ASCP or AMT certification preferred; hospital lab experience is a plus. 4x10 hour shifts, nights may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• 1 year or more of experience working in a Hospital Laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
