Job summary

Mass General Brigham's North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist Senior I to oversee specimen processing, test performance, and reporting results under CLIA guidance.

The role may involve supervisory duties and ensuring quality control across the lab operations. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory sciences and 3–5 years of lab experience, with ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in clinical laboratory sciences, medical technology, or laboratory sciences.
• ASCP (MLT/MT/MLA/Histologists) certification required.
• 3–5 years of laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and records.
• Maintain QC records and instrument calibrations.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor.
• Document corrective actions for deviations.
• Supervise assigned workstations and training staff.
• Read and interpret test results for diagnosis and treatment.
