Job summary

The Ohio State University’s University Hospital | Critical Care Laboratory is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist to perform advanced automated and manual procedures, verify test requests and results, and ensure technical quality of tests. Role is based in the Critical Care Lab with 40 hours weekly on the First Shift.

Responsibilities include QA/QI activities, competency validation, procedure writing/implementation, and supporting scheduling, training and recordkeeping under supervision of the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science or biological science.
• ASCP certification obtained within 1 year of hire.
• 1 year of work experience as a Clinical Laboratory Professional at OSU Medical Center; total 3+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized automated and manual laboratory procedures.
• Verify and report test requests and results with accuracy.
• Ensure the technical quality of tests; contribute to QA/QI and recordkeeping; assist with scheduling and training.
