The role involves performing diagnostic general and vascular ultrasound with independent judgment, explaining procedures to patients, and completing departmental documentation.

Required ARRT or ARDMS registration and a degree in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Qualifications

• Degree or training in radiologic technology or diagnostic medical sonography with registry eligibility.
• Registered ARRT or ARDMS required.
• Ultrasound general and OB experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform diagnostic general/vascular ultrasound and provide preliminary interpretations under physician direction.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic general and vascular ultrasound procedures with independent judgment under physician supervision.
• Explains examination and procedure to patients and prepares rooms/equipment and documentation.
• Writes preliminary interpretations for non-invasive vascular testing.
• Maintains supply inventory and operates ultrasound equipment and radiology information systems.
