Qualifications

• Ultrasound general and OB experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform diagnostic general/vascular ultrasound and provide preliminary interpretations under physician direction.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic general and vascular ultrasound procedures with independent judgment under physician supervision.
• Explains examination and procedure to patients and prepares rooms/equipment and documentation.
• Writes preliminary interpretations for non-invasive vascular testing.
• Maintains supply inventory and operates ultrasound equipment and radiology information systems.

Demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of sonography equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory.Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.
