Job summary

Ipas is seeking a Senior Medical Scientist to provide technical leadership in safe abortion, contraception, and GBV care across development and humanitarian contexts. The role focuses on strengthening availability, accessibility, acceptability, and quality through tools, standards, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to support and strengthen the capacity of teams.
• Professional-level fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 10+ years’ experience in clinical practice including reproductive health care and applying scientific clinical information to training and programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide and/or analyze evidence-based technical content for advocacy on safe abortion.
• Develop technical tools translating evidence into health services.
• Lead quality/regulatory processes for the Ipas MVA product line and related infection prevention.
• Support training of sites and partners on content like VCAT and clinical management of abortion and contraception care.
• Lead clinical/technical research and disseminate evidence for practice improvement.
• Prepare and analyze service-delivery data to issue recommendations for quality improvement.
