Job summary

Medtronic plc, based at the Rice Creek East campus in Minnesota, seeks a Senior Medical Science Writer to communicate scientific evidence for Neuromodulation therapies. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with clinical objectives.

The role focuses on manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations for healthcare audiences, with onsite work four days per week and minimal travel. Strong background in regulated medical environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR master’s degree with 4+ years in medical writing, scientific communications, clinical research, regulatory affairs, or scientific publishing.
• Experience authoring scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, or presentations for healthcare or scientific audiences.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting clinical, scientific, or medical literature.
• Experience working in a regulated healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications for scientific document development and presentation creation.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and summarize scientific and clinical literature relevant to Neuromodulation therapies.
• Develop manuscripts for peer‑reviewed publication based on studies and reports.
• Create and submit abstracts, posters, and podium presentations for conferences.
• Review promotional and scientific materials for accuracy and alignment with published evidence.
• Prepare responses to audits, regulatory, and submission-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with physicians and internal stakeholders to develop scientific content.
• Identify and report literature-based complaints and adverse events through quality processes.
• Maintain databases of peer‑reviewed literature and internal publications.
