Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison for the US Midwest territory (ideal location Chicago, IL). The role focuses on external scientific communications, KOL/HCP engagement, and translating complex data into actionable insights to advance medical strategy.

Ideal candidates hold a doctoral-level degree in life/health sciences (or Master’s as a minimum) with 2+ years in an MSL role within pharma. Up to 70% travel, virtual collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

• Dissemination of complex scientific data to healthcare audiences.
• Experience as field-based medical science liaison in pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities expected to comprise 80% of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
• Analyze and disseminate Takeda disease area data to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant manner.
• Support sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies.
• Collect and communicate medical insights to refine medical strategies.
• Travel up to 70% and drive to meetings; report in CRM with insights.
• Execute medical strategy at conferences and staff booths.
