Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals seeks a Medical Science Liaison to serve as a field-based scientific expert, building peer-to-peer relationships with EOLs, HCPs, and health systems to advance evidence-based exchange and patient outcomes.

The role requires presenting complex clinical data, supporting medical education activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while traveling within the territory.

Qualifications

• PharmD/PhD/MD/DO in a life science field; industry fellowship preferred.
• 1–3 years’ MSL experience in pharma/biotech.
• Scientific acumen with ability to critically evaluate and communicate complex clinical data.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to engage in peer-to-peer dialogue.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and digital engagement platforms.
• Ability to travel up to 60–70% within assigned territory; must reside within territory.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate long-term relationships with EOLs, thought leaders, and HCPs in community and health system settings within the territory.
• Deliver accurate, balanced, and scientifically rigorous information on Alnylam’s therapies and therapeutic areas.
• Engage HCPs in community practice settings in evidence-based scientific dialogue.
• Support medical education initiatives, advisory boards, speaker programs, and clinical research activities.
• Gather and communicate medical and scientific insights from the field to internal stakeholders.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs within 2 business days.
