Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison I to act as a field-based scientific expert supporting our designated therapeutic area across the product life cycle in the Washington, DC region. You will communicate AbbVie science to healthcare professionals, build relationships, and provide comprehensive medical and scientific support for AbbVie initiatives.

You will engage thought leaders, present data on disease states and AbbVie products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, APP).
Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Identify and engage thought leaders and researchers to share medical information.
Present scientific data on disease states and AbbVie products to healthcare professionals.
Support research initiatives, investigator meetings, and external collaborations.
Prepare market intelligence in new therapeutic areas and build AbbVie presence in medical community.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and provide scientific resources.
