Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Technical SETA - Medical Robotics Subject Matter Expert to provide onsite support in Arlington, VA. The role requires translating medical robotics concepts into programmatic oversight for DARPA and BTO.

You will lead assessments of autonomous interventional robotics, collaborate with program managers, and ensure safety standards while delivering rigorous technical reviews in austere environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical biomedical, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• 9+ years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to assess the integration and validity of robotic platforms, surgical end effectors, and multi-modal sensor suites.
• Ensuring system architectures adhere to established standards for medical device software, safety protocols, and autonomous system development.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Able to work fully onsite in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide foundational subject matter expertise and programmatic support to DARPA Biological Technologies Office (BTO) Program Managers.
• Translate core principles of medical robotics, autonomous systems, and surgical technology into technical oversight, progress evaluation, and performer management for cutting-edge programs focused on developing autonomous robotic systems for interventional trauma care in austere environments.
