State of Hawaiʻi is seeking a Medical Record Technician for vacancies at the Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) and Halawa Correctional Facility (HCF). The role handles para-professional medical record functions in line with departmental policies and regulations.

The position requires knowledge of medical terminology, strong data-handling skills, and the ability to work with various office equipment. Applicants must meet experience, PREA, and background check requirements.

Qualifications

• General Experience: 2.5 years in a medical record department or related field with duties such as filing, data entry, cross-indexing, and data compilation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, office practices, and use of standard office equipment.
• PREA requirements: must not have engaged in prohibited conduct; pass background checks and screenings.

Responsabilités

• Maintain para-professional medical record functions per departmental policies.
• Assist higher-level staff or medical record librarian as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
