Qualifications

• MD/DO license valid in the practicing state.
• Board certification in a clinical field.
• 7 years of management experience in medical operations.
• Experience building quality, performance improvement and utilization programs.
• 15 years as a practicing physician.

Responsibilities

• Participates in strategic and operating planning with the management team.
• Leads physician leadership for medical centers and ambulatory areas.
• Coordinates administrative functions for medical staff including credentialing.
• Leads quality and care management initiatives and peer review.
• Directs performance improvement programs and utilization management.
• Supports system clinical best practices and capacity management.
• Oversees recruitment of physicians and providers.
• Manages HR tasks including staff development and evaluations.
• Develops operating and capital budgets and controls costs.
• Upholds ethics and participates in community organizations.
