Qualifications

• J.D. degree required.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Minimum 8 years of medical malpractice or civil litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent CAP physicians, hospitals or CAPIC in medical malpractice suits as lead trial/arbitration counsel.
• Formulate discovery and investigation strategy.
• Mentor staff counsel and lead a team through trial preparation.
• Ensure timely reporting to claims and clients at all stages of litigation.
• Attend court appearances and respond to discovery; coordinate with claims team.
• Maintain compliance with Defense Attorney Guidelines.
