Qualifications

• A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent legal experience.
• Proficient in legal research and writing with medical terminology knowledge.
• Strong understanding of the litigation process, including filing and drafting documents.
• Familiarity with liability laws and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with ability to manage multiple cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on medical malpractice cases.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, depositions, and mediations.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, and subpoenas.
• File legal documents with courts and ensure proper service.
• Investigate case facts, interview witnesses, and gather medical records.
• Prepare arguments, applications, declarations, and motions.
• Maintain communication with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Organize case files and ensure information is accessible and up-to-date.
• Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate discovery, draft discovery requests/responses, and organize materials.
