Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Medical Malpractice Paralegal in Berwyn, PA to support attorneys with trial prep, filings, and discovery. This role requires at least 5 years of paralegal experience in medical malpractice, a ABA-approved paralegal certificate, and strong research and writing skills.

The candidate will manage case files, communicate with clients and experts, and ensure compliance with regulations. On-site, permanent position with competitive benefits and salary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in medical malpractice.
• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent legal experience.
• Proficient in legal research and writing, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
• Excellent understanding of the litigation process, including filing and drafting legal documents.
• Familiarity with liability laws and regulations.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.

Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on medical malpractice cases.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, depositions, and mediations.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, and subpoenas.
• File legal documents with courts and ensure proper service.
• Investigate and fact-find for cases, including interviewing witnesses and gathering medical records.
• Assist in preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations, and motions.
• Maintain communication with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage and organize case files and documents, ensuring information is accessible and up-to-date.
• Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate the discovery process, including drafting discovery requests and responses, organizing discovery materials, and coordinating depositions.
