Job summary

Ipsen is seeking a Senior Medical Information Manager in the U.S. who will lead content development for unsolicited inquiries and oversee MI materials across therapeutic areas.

You will coordinate with Global Medical Information and US Medical Affairs, ensuring scientifically balanced messaging and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes high-quality medical writing, literature surveillance, and scalable processes, with up to 25% travel to conferences and meetings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Medical Information experience within the pharmaceutical industry or related clinical pharmacy practice/managed care with an advanced degree, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Advanced medical writing skills to synthesize and communicate complex information.
• Proficiency in medical literature searching (PubMed, EMBASE, etc.)
• Extensive experience developing medical information response documents that are current and balanced.
• Knowledge of regulatory, legal, and industry guidelines for medical information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and approval of MI content (CRDs, SRDs, FAQs) for unsolicited inquiries.
• Create and approve training materials, slide decks, and internal medical materials.
• Monitor literature, labeling updates, and external resources for accuracy.
• Serve as lead medical reviewer through review committees for promotional and non-promotional materials.
• Collaborate with Global Medical Information and US Medical Affairs.
• Oversee MI call center activities and quality assurance.
• Lead data analysis of inquiries to identify trends and inform strategy.
• Support AI-enabled tools to enhance MI content and processes.
• Prepare for inspections and maintain documentation and SOP updates.
• Travel to conferences and represent MI at events.
