Job summary

Scientific Safety Alliance (SSA Steriquip) in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Equipment Service Technician for a 12-month contract with potential extension. You will travel 100% in the field to service critical medical sterilization equipment in hospitals and ambulatory centers, including sterilizers, washers, and ultrasonic cleaners.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installations, and upgrades, with hands-on training and opportunities for leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of professional work experience, including at least 2 years on medical sterilization or infection prevention equipment.
• Associate degree or technical certifications may substitue for some experience.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Meet hospital credentialing, background check, and physical requirements.
• Basic computer proficiency (Windows, email, mobile apps, data entry).
• Ability to travel as needed, including overtime and overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain sterilization and infection prevention equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, warranty repairs, installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Collaborate with Technical Support, Engineering, and Service Management to resolve complex issues.
• Document service work using mobile technology and service management software.
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and support company growth.
• Travel throughout assigned territory to support customer needs.
