Job summary

SSA Steriquip is seeking a Senior Equipment Technician to service critical medical equipment in hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. This field-based role requires troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installations with a company vehicle provided.

You will travel within the Houston area, collaborate with support teams, document work on mobile platforms, and progress toward leadership opportunities as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years in professional work, with at least 2 years on medical sterilization or infection prevention equipment.
• Associate degree, technical certs, OEM training, or military tech experience may substitute.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record; able to meet credentialing/background checks.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Windows, email, mobile apps, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain sterilization and infection prevention equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, warranty repairs, installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Collaborate with Technical Support, Engineering, and Service Management to resolve complex issues.
• Document service work using mobile technology and service management software.
• Build strong customer relationships while delivering exceptional service.
• Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and support company growth.
• Travel throughout your assigned territory to support customer needs.
