Job summary

Oak Street Health, a CVS Health company, is seeking a Senior Medical Director to lead the transition to value-based primary care across the region. You will supervise Medical Directors, mentor providers, and shape care models while maintaining hands-on clinical work in clinics two days per week.

You'll partner with executives to drive cost, quality, and patient satisfaction improvements, manage performance, and build strong clinical programs through data-driven decision making and collaboration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree; board certification in Internal or Family Medicine.
• Minimum 5 years of outpatient primary care experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Medical Director or clinical executive role, managing 20+ providers.
• Experience with managed care, value-based care, and payer-provider alignment.
• Proficient in using metrics to improve cost, quality, and patient satisfaction.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Medical Director management, coaching, and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Lead physician leadership development and internal pipeline of clinical leaders.
• Represent Oak Street Health to external partners and cross-functional committees.
• Lead population health initiatives and optimize care delivery.
• Ensure documentation and coding accuracy and provider education.
