Exelixis Inc is seeking a Senior Medical Director to lead oncology trial programs across early and late stages. You will design protocols, monitor safety, and coordinate reporting for FDA submissions, while guiding investigators and internal teams. Extensive experience in drug development and oncology is expected.

You will collaborate with safety groups, interpret complex data, and ensure adherence to GCP, with opportunities for leadership and contribution to publications.

Qualifications

• MD with oncology/hematology focus; board certification or eligibility desirable.
• 8+ years post-residency experience in drug development or biotech/pharma environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead oncology trials and monitor safety and data quality.
• Design and initiate study protocols in compliance with GCP and regulatory standards.
• Act as medical monitor for company-sponsored trials and contribute to clinical study reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with investigators and key opinion leaders.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting to agencies such as FDA and support publications.
